Dear GRSP Family,

As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread and this public health crisis grows, GRSP is doing everything we can to keep our students as safe and well as possible.

University systems across the state have paused classes for a few weeks and all of our students are housed safely in the care of their host families. We ask that everyone please carefully follow best practices recommended by the CDC regarding personal hygiene and social distancing.

Though students are released from their studies for a few weeks and airfare and hotels are cheap right now, we strongly discourage ANY travel.

The whole goal is to minimize the spread of the virus.  While most of us are not in the “vulnerable population” age range for grave illness, we are prime carriers and could significantly add to the problem. We all need to make responsible choices and do our part to “flatten the curve.”

That being said, our student weekend planned in Pelham, GA the weekend of March 26th has been cancelled. A decision regarding the Camden County weekend in April is pending.

The 6910 District Conference the weekend of April 23rd has been cancelled. We are awaiting word about District 6900 and 6920 conferences.

We promise to keep you updated as things unfold. In the meantime, take care of yourselves and each other and know we are here for you every step of the way.

Stay Well!
