Homer is a Georgia native born in Atlanta with his childhood hometown being Jackson, Georgia.  Homer married the girl next door in 1971 and has two daughters who reside in the Atlanta metro area.  Homer is the principal architect of the firm Homer Lewis & Associates, Inc. and was proposed for Rotary membership in 1985 as a member of the Conyers Rotary Club.  Responding to a request of PDG Jim Kent, Homer assisted with the organization and became a charter member of the Rotary Club of Rockdale County where he served as president in 1997-98.  Homer is a Rotary Foundation sustaining member, Multiple Paul Harris Fellow, GRSP sustaining member, Will Watt Fellow and Hue Thomas Fellow. Since 1999 he has served GRSP as a Trustee, District 6910 GRSP Director and currently GRSP District 6910 Chairman.
